BOARD OF APPEALS
The Franklin Township Board of Appeals will meet Monday, February 19, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. to hear the following variance request:
Jim & Sheila Stasak, with property at 580 Pentecost Hwy,
Onsted (FR0-400-0200-00) are requesting to demolish
the existing dwelling down to a portion of the existing
foundation and construct a new single family dwelling
with an addition. The property is located in the Lake
District Overlay Zone. In order to allow construction side
and rear yard variances will be required. (Section 9.05)
This meeting will be held at the Franklin Township Hall, 3922 Monroe Road, Tipton. The meeting is open to the public under Michigan's Open Meetings Act. FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP BOARD OF REVIEW
The Franklin Township Board of Review will meet at the Township Hall, located at 3922 Monroe Road, Tipton, Michigan 49287 on the following dates:
Organizational Meeting (No appeals will be heard at this meeting)
The Board of Review will review and inspect the assessment roll prior to the public hearings.
Tuesday, March 6, 2018 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Public Appeals will be heard by appointment on the following dates:
Monday, March 12, 2018 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Tuesday, March 13,2018 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Wednesday, March 14, 2018 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
If you wish to make an appointment to appeal to the Board of Review, please call Assessor Max Griffin at (734) 474-5148 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. beginning on February 26, 2018. Appointments must be scheduled by 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2018.
Residents and Non-residents that are unable to appear in person may appeal by letter, providing that it is received at the Township office no later than 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2018.

THE TOWNSHIP ASSESSING DEPARTMENT IS CURRENTLY VISITING EVERY PARCEL IN FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP AS PART OF A TOWNSHIP-WIDE REASSESSMENT OF ALL TOWNSHIP PARCELS. THE ASSESSING DEPARTMENT WILL MEASURE DWELLINGS AND BUILDINGS AND TAKE PICTURES TO UPDATE TOWNSHIP RECORDS. THE ASSESSING DEPARTMENT WORKER'S ARE IN POSSESSION OF ID BADGES.
